Bird Shooting

Background

Actually it all started with my 2nd daughter asking around for a film SLR camera. I really wasn't hopeful that the EOS10QD that had been kept in an improvised dry box for more than 15 years was still usable but brought it to the Canon Service Centre for checks anyway.

That started me browsing on Carousel on the cheapest alternatives if my old camera couldn't be used. I then chanced upon someone selling a EOS40D with two lens for 200 and couldn't resist buying it, camera bag and all.

With that new toy, I then reached out to James to figure out whether the camera was good enough to produce the fantastic bird shots that he had been posting for the past few years on his facebook and the rest, as they say, is history.
Of course, there was some some detour due to insufficient research so my current equipment is now a EOS77D with a 300mm F4 lens and a 2x extender.
